Friends,

As you may or may not know, this week we are starting work on our field.  We are replacing the old turf and installing a new one.  This culminates months of hard work, contract negotiations, and meetings.  I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dave Jackson who led us through this process.

We are expecting the field construction to continue through the first couple of weeks in March.  This creates some challenges as we are starting our Spring Season on February 18th.  To that effect, we have rented the Football Stadium from Moorpark College.  This will allow us to start the season and then move to our brand new turf upon completion.

I would like to ask that all members abstain from going to the field during construction.  We are asked, for insurance purposes, that no one be present during construction.  There are only a very few people who are going to be supervising the operation on our behalf.  We will update our website periodically with the latest developments to make sure everyone is up to date on what’s going on.

Thank you,

Alan Scally
FHF President
